PLAY

While currently in a space of flux regarding my paintings, I decided to experiment with ‘alternative’ screen printing.’ ( I loved doing it in college but have never had the proper space/equipment to continue. )

I sketch out several designs then enlarge the selected sketches to fit a 24” x 24” panel. Next, I make stencils out of glassine. Once the colors and the sequence are chosen, I paint each stencil, replicating my design in oil on a cradled panel.

I titled these ‘PLAY’ for that is exactly what I am doing and it’s extremely satisfying and makes me happy.
